Beyond Blue explores depth, space and the emotional weight of colour.
Built around layers of ultramarine blue and a single gestural circle, the painting balances presence and absence, structure and openness. The circle appears and disappears within the surface, emerging from the colour rather than sitting upon it.
Created through a process of layering, obscuring and revealing, the work invites a slower way of looking. What first appears simple gradually unfolds through subtle shifts in tone, texture and movement.
